Someone Remind Me

Next year, when April rolls around, that if I haven’t done the new release designs yet, that I’m going to be in living, flaked-out, hell for three weeks prior to one whirlwind trip to Atlanta.

Remind me to finish it all by the end of March.

Remind me to design the marketing materials first. It will make life so much easier.

The Office starts again this Thursday. I am so excited.

That is all.

On a Sunday Afternoon

Last night I drove to T-town for E’s birthday. David was out of town on business, and said he was jealous. I probably shouldn’t admit that I’m slightly glad that this means he loves my friends as much as I do. E and Josiah are bomb people.

After three, ugh, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, I jumped in the car to head home to run a 5k. My goal at the beginning of the race was to run the entire thing without stopping, but mid-race I took a walk break and ended up running only about three quarters of it. I was still thrilled that I finished running (modified goal), and my time was 39.26 (not bad for not having run for five weeks.)

I officially feel like I’m getting “doughy”, as David puts it, and I feel like this race put me back on track. Or should I say treadmill? I worked way too hard before the wedding, learned way to much about my body and how it works, to let it all go to waste now. I think I may officially be switching to the “it doesn’t matter how much you weigh” perspective, and start to focus on general health and how toned I am, and how my clothes fit. Maybe I’ll just not step on the scale for a year, work out religiously, and see what happens then.

I say this all as I’m about to head over to my parents for an attic-cleaning-out with my sister and her family. This inevitably means we will end up eating breakfast for dinner, which inevitably means I will be eating fried eggs and bacon. That’s not exactly back on track.

Tina spent the day over here on Saturday helping me get ready for a garage sale. The garage is swept out and there is a growing pile of junk in the middle of it. No matter how you slice it, it feels so good to get rid of crap.

We’re getting ready to launch a new website for work. I’m very excited. I have to confess, I’m not thrilled with the blog software on it. I’m much more used to movabletype. I can’t even get thrilled about blogger anymore. Nevertheless, we will be launching a work blog, on which I will discuss work. No work here, only personal stuff. And very unprofessional words like “crap”.

Oh, and we got a new puppy. Her name is Frances Cornelia. I wanted to name her Cornelia, but David said no, because people would call her Corny. So, we call her Francie. She loves everyone–cousin Marshall, David, Carpa and Mimi, and David’s parents. Lucky little dog to be so adored. She had an eye infection last week, and is slowly recovering. Her poor little eyes were so miserable and swollen.

OK, it’s off to the ‘rents, now. Maybe I’ll be better about posting this week. Over ‘n out.
